You need to lodge your Notice Of Intended Marriage form (NOIM) with your celebrant a minimum of one month before the wedding day. If you lodge your NOIM form on 16th May the earliest date you can be married would be 16th June. The NOIM stays valid for 18 months after lodgement. This is a requirement of Australian law. If there were more than one pervious marriage, I only need to see proof of the end of the last marriage. I will need to see Death certificate of past spouse if applicable. I will need the full legal names of your two (2) adult witnesses, who will be attending the wedding.
